Pfizer, BioNTech, and Moderna Make $65,000 per Minute on Vaxxines

A recent report by the People’s Vaccine Alliance (PVA), an organization campaigning for wider access to vaccines around the world recently released a report that has claimed that Pfizer, BioNTech and Moderna, companies that manufacture COVID-19 vaccines make a profit of about $65000 per minute on their vaccines. The report, it said is based on financial reports made available by the organizations themselves. The profit-making motivations behind the production of successful vaccines have led these companies to prioritize selling them to richer countries over the poorer ones.

The humanitarian organization that is concerned with the sparse access to vaccines in poorer countries especially in Africa is concerned that the vaccine makers are more concerned with their drive to make profit despite having access to $8 billion of public funding are still prioritizing their bottom lines over tequila access to vaccines all over the world.

Maaza Seyoum of African Alliance and People’s Vaccine Alliance Africa commented saying, “It is obscene that just a few companies are making millions of dollars in profit every single hour, while just two percent of people in low-income countries have been fully vaccinated against coronavirus.”

“Pfizer, BioNTech and Moderna have used their monopolies to prioritize the most profitable contracts with the richest governments, leaving low-income countries out in the cold,” she added.

In contrast to the above stated companies, the organization has commended the efforts of Johnson & Johnson and Astrazaneca for making their versions of the vaccines available to the public simply on a humanitarian basis.

Pandemic bonds

In 2017, the World Bank created the first ever global “pandemic bond”.

The purpose of the bonds was to transfer huge sums of money to the governments of countries affected by a new strain of an existing virus.

Now the coronavirus is called the best earner.

The pandemic bond insurance program is a centralized pool of money that evaluates each country’s claims and therefore decides whether to pay them huge sums for their plight.

Isn’t that a great incentive for any government to build a balance of needs that make that country a portion of this rewards fund?

The program called PEF for short means the possibility of receiving a loan in the event of a pandemic – Version approved and adopted by the PEF steering authority on October 15, 2018.

The program aims to select different interest rates depending on the pandemic version for each recipient country.

For example, if more than 8 countries are involved in a pandemic, the stakes will go up.
Isn’t that reward enough to encourage the countries that are included in the program to put pressure on those that are not?
The wider the global reach, the larger the pool. The higher the growth rate, the greater the reward.

It is lobbying for global calculation.
Who wants to gain the most?

Officially, the Emergency Pandemic Support Facility (PEF) was developed by the World Bank Group (WBG) in consultation with the World Health Organization (WHO) and other development partners to fill a critical gap in the international aid architecture as part of a global empowerment solution pandemic risk.

What is its solution?
Of course, in addition to deploying health workers to medical aid units, ensuring the supply of medical equipment, also the supply of drugs and – bingo! – vaccines.

So who wants to gain the most here?
Big pharmaceutical companies, of course.

The goal of these actions is to “build strong and resilient health systems and accelerate universal health insurance measures.”

Do we see any amount of this money being allocated to people affected by the epidemic of poverty and hunger?
Where is help for them?

There is none, because “help” goes into vaccines …
WHO Contingency Fund

According to the World Bank’s communiqué of March 3, 2020, it was possible to earn good money from the “pandemic”:

Today, we are announcing an initial emergency package of up to $ 12 billion in funding applications for the effects of the crisis and immediate needs …

It is also a verification of the results that appear in the WHO CFE (emergency fund in case of emergencies).

STAG-IH, the WHO Strategic and Technical Advisory Group on Infectious Threats, was established by WHO to access an independent analysis by the Deputy Director General (DDG) of WHO’s Infectious Risk Preparedness and Response.

Any country that can demonstrate that it has responded to the “outbreak” can apply for funding from this database.

For example, they did this by shutting down the economy and sending people to quarantine, setting a curfew, and keeping track of the number of infections.

Basically the award guidelines suggest that, the stricter the measures, the greater the chance of a payout. The conclusion is obvious …
